Holding them accountable - Part 10 Wednesday, Jan 21 2009

No more settling for last place on all the good lists and first place on all the bad lists.

- Bobby Jindal

It was just reported by the U.S. Census Bureau* that as of July 1, 2008, Louisiana is in last place in population gain. Not only are we in last place among the states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico in population gain, we are only one of two of the 52 states and territories to lose population.

Will we continue to settle for being last? What’s the plan to address this problem? Encourage more and faster procreation?

To quote Bobby Jindal: “It’s time to match action to our rhetoric.”

It’s time to hold Bobby accountable.

Holding them accountable - Part 9 Tuesday, Jan 20 2009

In order to ensure that we are fully engaged and ready to proactively address evolving national economic conditions relating to our state, we will hold weekly economic briefing meetings with key economic advisors for the next several months.

- Bobby Jindal

In a recent article in Shreveport newspaper ( here) once again see jobs in LA leaving for another state.

It makes one wonder why businesses with offices in LA and in several states continue to close offices in LA and expand offices in other states.

Could it be because it is cheaper or easier to do business in other states?

Where are the proactive efforts of the Jindal Administration?

Perhaps being proactive is increasing the pay of our ethically-challenged, head of Economic Development, Stephen Moret.

Perhaps being proactive is a town hall meeting in Shreveport.

To quote Bobby Jindal: “It’s time to match action to our rhetoric.”

It’s time to hold Bobby accountable.

Holding them accountable - Part 8 Friday, Jan 16 2009

Louisiana cannot afford politicians making irresponsible fiscal decisions over real choices to transform and strengthen our state. Working to grow bureaucracy rather than instill reform will do nothing to move our state forward.

My Plan of Action will take the fundamental reforms we must embrace to slow down in its tracks this runaway spending train coming from the State Capitol.

—- Bobby Jindal

Compare the above statements with the facts found in a letter to the editor in the Baton Rouge paper (here).

To quote Bobby Jindal: “It’s time to match action to our rhetoric.”

It’s time to hold Bobby accountable.
