At the recent hearings at the State Capitol, Rep. James Armes had a concern about the “Roads Scholar’s” pension reform plan. He wanted to know how it affected his wife. See story here.
Not in the story, but during the hearing, Armes called the 3% contribution increase a tax. I don’t know why that would make any difference to Armes. His voting record shows he has never had a problem voting for a tax increase.
Once Armes found out that none of it affected his wife, he apparently lost interest.
