UPDATE: 12:40 PM. Jindal has arrived back in Louisiana.  He will hold a press conference at 3:15 PM today to announce plans for Hurricane Isaac.  Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness7667 Independence Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70806

Welcome home Bobby!

Hurricane Isaac is heading into the Gulf. The cone of uncertainty includes Southeast LA. For those of us who went through Katrina there’s an uneasy sense of deja vu.

The predictions are that the hurricane could strengthen to Category 3.

The governors of Alabama and Florida have cancelled their plans to attend the GOP Convention in Tampa in order to make plans for the hurricane impacting their states.

Media blackout?

Yesterday, Bobby Jindal attended a convention in Iowa. I found no mention of this in the on-line newspapers today.

My only source was a Tweet from the Associated Press’s Melinda Deslatte.

There is no word as to when Bobby would be returning to Louisiana or even if he is before the GOP Convention.

In fact, I cannot get any information from Jindal’s press flacks because they once again cut me off.

Where’s Bobby?

Bobby who is always at the forefront of any disaster spouting off statistics with all our emergency folks standing behind him is MIA.

If he knows it isn’t going to hit Louisiana, it would be nice for him to share that information with us.

Apparently, Bobby is busy preparing for his big speech before the GOP National Convention on Tuesday night.

This is just another sign that Bobby has written off Louisiana.
