A majority of both houses voted against calling themselves into special session. Yes, not signing the petitions for a session is a vote.

The common concern heard from those leges was wasting money on a special session. It’s refreshing to know that our leges are being frugal with our money.

Since the leges won’t be spending $1.2 Million (Already in the lege budget.) for a special session, they could transfer the money to LSU to match Federal funds to be used for healthcare.

Four or five million dollars generated won’t fix the problem, but it may save the jobs of a few nurses and doctors. More importantly it may save some lives.

The transfer would send a message to the public that the leges are concerned about healthcare and wouldn’t jeopardize their relationship with Bobby Jindal.

Anyone see a problem with this suggestion?
