Trough still overflows
We keep hearing about state agencies’ budgets being “cut to the bone.” Yet in the midst of drastic budget cuts to healthcare a state commission suddenly finds $14,000 for an absolutely useless purpose. See story here.
There is zero chance that with or without this study the judges will be getting a pay raise next year. Why update a study that was only done one year ago to tell the leges what judges in other states make?
This is but a small example of wasteful spending that the leges might have found had they chosen to go into a special session.
To see who are these out-of-touch-with-reality members of the judges pay raise commission go here.
