Ethics Board at work
According to a story in the Baton Rouge paper the division of the state’s Heh, Heh, Heh, Ethics Board that brings charges for violations of the law is withholding certain information from the adjudicatory section of the board. The issue seems to be the lack of transparency within a single state agency.
The result is that the adjudicatory section is promptly dismissing the charges against the accused based on a lack of evidence. I’m not kidding.
The fact that such a situation can even exist is only thanks to Bobby Jindal’s new “gold standard” of ethics coupled with his effort to eliminate transparency (while claiming it’s more transparent) via a legal fiction called “deliberative process.”
If anyone previously didn’t understood why I use the term “Heh, Heh, Heh Ethics Board” this should explain everything.
Folks, you cannot make this stuff up.
